Doogie Howser, M.D. theme with SNL symphony orchestra

doogiehowserWhen Neil Patrick Harris hosted this past weekend’s Saturday Night Live, the SNL Digital Short was nothing short of awesome.

It features NPH on keyboards playing the theme to his hit tv show from his (and ours) youth, Doogie Howser, M.D. The rest of the SNL cast backs him up as his orchestra.

The single tear he cries at the end really makes it.

Neil Patrick Harris seems to really have fun with his image as Doogie Howser. Check out this Old Spice commercial where he introduces himself as a former make-believe doctor… a doctor for pretend.

  1. Have we not been saying for years never to trust a man with two first names? I always took that to mean someone who had a First name for their last name.. like Robert Patrick for instance.

    Anyway.. since we’re on the subject of NPH’s awesomeness (which is considerable), I thought i’d take a moment to pimp out Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along blog to anyone so unfortunate to have not seen it yet.

  2. Movie star and singer Patrick Bruel ended up being certainly one of France’s biggest stars in the ’90s, first making
    the name being a teen idol and leading an excellent return to traditional French chanson inside
    new millennium. Bruel was born Patrick Benguigui within Tlemcen, Algeria, on May 14, 1959.
    His father abandoned the family when Patrick was only a year old,
    because 1962, after Algeria won its independence, his mom moved to France,
    negotiating inside Paris suburb of Argenteuil. A superb soccer player in his youth, Patrick first chosen the idea of
    as being a artist after seeing Michel Sardou perform in 1975.

    As good fortune could have it, acting would get him his first success;
    first-time representative Alexandre Arcady ran an advertisement seeking a fresh man which has a French-Algerian (or “pied-noir” in This particular language slang) accent for his
    picture Le Coup een Sirocco. Benguigui (as he was still called) responded and won the part.
    The below year, he spent a little while in New york, where he met
    Gérard Presgurvic, later to get his most important
    composer.
