It’s not an attic

posted by jamie | 07.07.08 | permalink |

Another songspeak from Martha’s Vineyard the weekend before last occurred during the exploration of the house. There was one door upstairs that had an unlocked padlock on it. Everyone assumed that it led to an attic, however when I opened it, I discovered it only lead to a linen closet. I then announced, “It’s not an attic, just a closet”. Heather then said, “Wasn’t that a K’s Choice song?” referring to the band’s one American hit back in 1997. I tried to play it off cool, but it was a pretty clever songspeak. And since Heather’s comment on my Things That Make You Go Hmmmm post, I realized I’d forgotten to post it. So here ya go:

Ha. Thanks for posting that! I had the cd at one time, I believe.

I was also enthralled by the sheer volume of tennis outfits hanging in the linen closet.

I still have the CD. Probably haven’t listened to it in 10 years or so, but every now and then a K’s Choice song will play when my iPod’s on shuffle.
