Wazzzzzzzzzzup!
Last Thursday on My Name is Earl, the storyline involved David Arquette as a stuntman who had suffered a brain injury so that every day he woke up and thought it was the same day, and forgot everything from the day before (just like Drew Barrymore’s character in 50 First Dates). His accident happened 10 years ago, and so everytime Earl showed up, he greeted him with a hearty, “Wazzzzzup!” from the old Budweiser commercials. This commercial was also referenced in the pilot episode of The Office (it’s how Michael Scott greets Jim and Dwight, and Jim sarcastically mentions how it’s still funny, all these years later).
This led to us finding the original commercial courtesy of youtube, and we realized what a hoot it really is.
