So I heard Jessie’s Girl by Rick Springfield on the radio yesterday, and I was reminded of the long held debate of “Just what DOES he say?” The one line in the chorus can be interpreted as “Where can I find a woman like that” or “Why can’t I find a woman like that”. Both make sense in the context of the song, and both sound extremely similar when sang to that particular tune. Googling the lyrics leads to the answer being “where can I”, but I’m still not convinced. Listen for yourself and weigh in with your comments.

Is the Rick Springfield Conundrum anything like the Jamie Kennedy Experiment?
If I were a bettin’ man, I’d think it’s “Why can’t I find a woman like that”.
Matt, you’d lose the bet, hon. It’s “Where can I find a woman like that?” Rick Springfield has a new CD coming out July 29 titled Venus In Overdrive. The first single is called What’s Victoria’s Secret? You can check it out at Amazon.com or rickspringfield.com, which also has a list of upcoming tour dates.
Well, maybe I’m wrong on that, but you gotta give me that it kinda SOUNDS like it at least.
